A small-town Sikh girl that had BIG dreams.
Growing up on the poorest street in my neighbourhood, my parents spent most of their lives as factory workers - and although I admired their work ethic, I knew that there was more out there for me.
But after graduating from University and landing a ‘good’ corporate job, I realised that I too had fallen into the time-for-money trap.
I was miserable, unfulfilled, and felt stuck. I was even bullied! But deep down, I knew that it was my responsibility to do something about it.
That if I wanted a better life, it was me, and only me, that had the power to correct my course.
I quit my 9-5 in 2014 and set up a successful wedding planning business, Desi Bride Dreams, which was featured in top UK wedding magazines You & Your Wedding, and Perfect Wedding. It also led to me being invited to be a guest expert on the BBC Breakfast Show and be in all the global wedding magazines and blogs.
I have coached and mentored hundreds of Asian female entrepreneurs to success and I cannot wait to share my best strategies with you too!
